She even jokes that someone should invent a “Vitamin-M” to improve old people’s memories.
One day, before leaving for work, she tells Ravi to stay at home and make sure Grandpa does not go out alone. However, Grandpa insists on going to the nearby shop to buy a Tamil newspaper. Ravi feels worried but does not want to hurt his grandfather’s feelings, so he secretly follows him.
Grandpa first visits the park, where he buys peanuts and watches children play. Ravi hides behind bushes to observe him, but gets scolded by people in the park. Next, Grandpa goes to a tea stall where he drinks sweet tea, eats bananas, and enjoys ice cream—foods that are not allowed at home. Ravi continues hiding and following him, feeling embarrassed and tired.
Later, Grandpa goes to a barber shop and then to a bus stop. When Ravi finally boards the bus to follow him, he realises that he has been tricked. The man wearing Grandpa’s yellow cap is actually a stranger. Grandpa had given away his cap and disappeared.
Ravi becomes very worried and rushes home, fearing that his grandfather may be lost. However, he finds Grandpa safely at home, peacefully sleeping. When Ravi’s mother returns from work, Grandpa jokingly tells her that Ravi disappeared instead of looking after him.
It is then revealed that it is Grandpa’s birthday, and he gives gifts to everyone. Grandpa humorously remarks that Ravi’s mother needs “Vitamin-M” for her memory. In the end, Ravi suspects that Grandpa knew he was being followed all along and cleverly fooled him.
